1. Purpose and Scope
Lumina is an online dating platform operated by DIGIDROP SP z.o.o (the "Company"). Because our members share personal photos, profile descriptions, and private messages, we maintain an active content moderation programme designed to keep the community safe, lawful, and respectful.
This policy explains what content is reviewed, which material is prohibited, how our moderation processes work, how members can report violations, and what enforcement measures we apply. Age-related requirements are set out in our separate Age Verification Policy. This policy applies to every piece of user-generated content on the platform, including:
- Profile information (usernames, display names, biographies, personal details)
- Photos and other images uploaded to profiles or galleries
- Private messages and chat content
- Virtual gift messages and any other text submitted through the Service
This policy forms part of our Terms of Service. By using Lumina you agree to comply with it.
2. Prohibited Content
The following categories of content are strictly forbidden anywhere on the platform. This list is not exhaustive; the Company reserves the right to remove any content it reasonably considers harmful or unlawful.
2.1 Zero-Tolerance Categories
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or any sexualised depiction of minors, real or simulated. Confirmed cases are removed immediately, the account is permanently banned, and the material is reported to the competent law-enforcement authorities.
- Content involving persons under 18, including photographs of minors, even in non-sexual contexts.
- Non-consensual intimate imagery ("revenge porn"), hidden-camera material, or any sexual content shared without the visible consent of the persons depicted.
- Human trafficking, prostitution, or escort advertising, including solicitation of commercial sexual services or any exchange of sexual services for money, goods, or platform benefits.
2.2 Illegal and Harmful Content
- Depictions or promotion of violence, threats, or incitement to harm any person or group
- Hate speech or discrimination based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, gender, age, or sexual orientation
- Promotion or sale of illegal goods or services, including drugs and weapons
- Content that promotes self-harm, suicide, or eating disorders
- Bestiality, necrophilia, or other unlawful sexual content
2.3 Fraud, Spam, and Misrepresentation
- Impersonation of another person, brand, or organisation; use of another person's photos without authorisation
- Scams, romance fraud, phishing links, requests for money or financial details from other members
- Spam, bulk messaging, chain letters, pyramid schemes, or unsolicited advertising
- Fake profiles, bots, or automated accounts
- Links or redirection to external commercial or adult websites
2.4 Community Standards for Photos
- Profile photos must depict the account holder; group photos may not be the primary image
- No nudity or sexually explicit imagery in public profile areas
- No graphic violence, gore, or shocking imagery
- No copyrighted or stock imagery presented as personal photos
3. How Moderation Works
3.1 Pre-Publication Review of Photos
Every photo uploaded to Lumina passes through a moderation pipeline before it becomes publicly visible. Uploaded images are first screened by automated detection systems (nudity, minors, violence, known abusive material) and are then subject to review by our trained human moderation team. Photos that fail review are rejected and the member is notified.
3.2 Profile Text Screening
Usernames, biographies, and profile fields are screened at creation and each time they are edited. Automated filters flag contact details, external links, solicitation language, and abusive terms for review.
3.3 Ongoing and Reactive Moderation
In addition to pre-publication checks, we operate continuous post-publication moderation: automated systems monitor message patterns typical of scams and spam, and our moderation team — available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week — reviews member reports and proactively audits accounts exhibiting suspicious behaviour.
3.4 Human Oversight
Automated tools assist our staff but do not replace them. Any enforcement decision that permanently restricts an account is made or verified by a human moderator.
4. Reporting Violations
Every member can report content or behaviour that appears to breach this policy:
- In-app reporting — use the "Report" option available on member profiles and in chat conversations
- Block function — instantly stop any member from contacting you
- Email — write to info@luminadate.com with the username concerned and a description of the issue
Reports are treated confidentially; the reported member is not informed of the reporter's identity. We aim to review every report within 24 hours of receipt. Content confirmed to violate this policy is removed promptly, and in urgent cases (for example, threats of harm or suspected involvement of a minor) immediately upon detection.
5. Enforcement Measures
Depending on the severity and frequency of the violation, the Company may apply one or more of the following measures:
- Rejection or removal of the offending content
- A formal warning recorded against the account
- Temporary restriction of specific features (e.g., messaging or photo uploads)
- Temporary suspension of the account
- Permanent termination of the account without refund of unused paid services, in accordance with the Terms of Service
- Reporting to law-enforcement or other competent authorities where the content or conduct may constitute a criminal offence
Zero-tolerance violations (Section 2.1) always result in immediate permanent termination.
6. Appeals
If you believe content was removed or your account was restricted in error, you may appeal by contacting info@luminadate.com within 30 days of the decision. Please include your username and the reasons you consider the decision incorrect. Appeals are reviewed by a member of the moderation team who was not involved in the original decision, and we will respond within 14 days.
7. Cooperation with Authorities
The Company cooperates with law-enforcement agencies and competent regulators. Where legally required, we preserve and disclose content and account data in response to valid legal process, and we proactively report suspected child sexual exploitation to the relevant authorities.
8. Updates to This Policy
We review this policy regularly and may update it to reflect new features, legal requirements, or best practice. Material changes will be announced through the Service or by email before they take effect.
