Age Verification Policy

1. Purpose and Scope

Lumina is an online dating platform operated by DIGIDROP SP z.o.o (the "Company"). Lumina is an adults-only service: access is strictly limited to persons who are at least 18 years of age (or the age of majority in their jurisdiction, if higher).

This policy describes the measures we apply to prevent minors from creating accounts, using the Service, or purchasing paid services, and what happens when we identify an underage user. It forms part of our Terms of Service and works together with our Content Moderation Policy.

2. Verification at Registration

• Every applicant must provide their full date of birth during registration. Registrations indicating an age below 18 are automatically rejected by our systems — both in the registration form and at the server level, so the check cannot be bypassed by manipulating the form.
• Every applicant must actively confirm, by means of a mandatory checkbox, that they are at least 18 years old and accept this policy, the Terms of Service, the Privacy Policy, and the Content Moderation Policy.
• Providing a false date of birth constitutes a material breach of the Terms of Service and results in account termination.

3. Age Confirmation for Purchases

Before every purchase of paid services (credits), the member must re-confirm that they are at least 18 years old by means of a mandatory checkbox. Payments are processed by a licensed payment provider with 3-D Secure authentication; payment methods available on the platform are themselves restricted to adults by the issuing institutions.

4. Ongoing Age Assurance

• All profile photos pass automated and human review before publication; images that appear to depict a person under 18 are rejected and the account is escalated for investigation.
• Our moderation team, available 24/7, investigates every report or indication that a member may be underage. During the investigation the account may be suspended.
• Where doubt remains, we may require the member to verify their age with a government-issued identity document before restoring access. Documents submitted for this purpose are used solely for age verification, are processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy, and are deleted once verification is complete.

5. Consequences of Underage Use

• Accounts confirmed to belong to persons under 18 are terminated immediately and the associated personal data is deleted, except where retention is required by law.
• Payments identified as having been made by a minor are handled in accordance with applicable consumer protection law.
• Any content involving minors is handled under the zero-tolerance rules of the Content Moderation Policy, including reporting to the competent law-enforcement authorities where required.

6. Reporting a Suspected Minor

If you believe a member may be under 18, report the profile immediately:

• In-app reporting — use the "Report" option available on member profiles and in chat conversations
• Email — write to info@luminadate.com with the username concerned

Reports of suspected underage users are reviewed with the highest priority, ahead of all other moderation queues.

7. Updates to This Policy

We review this policy regularly and may update it to reflect new features, legal requirements, or best practice. Material changes will be announced through the Service or by email before they take effect.
